About the role
You'll set up the instrumentation that lets our customers (and us) know whether what we shipped actually moved the needle. SQL, an analytics tool of choice, and the discipline to keep dashboards honest.
What you'll do
- Define the metrics that matter for each engagement, input metrics, output metrics, and the leading indicators that connect them.
- Build dashboards in customer analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker, Metabase).
- Design and run experiments; report results without spin.
- Write SQL against production databases and analytics warehouses.
- Partner with the PM on weekly demo prep: "what did this week's work actually change?"
What you bring
- 4+ years in product / data analytics roles.
- Strong SQL: window functions, CTEs, performance-aware queries.
- Hands-on with at least one of Mixpanel / Amplitude / PostHog / Heap / Snowplow.
- A/B testing fundamentals: power analysis, MDE, p-values, experiment QA.
- Comfort writing analyses that non-technical stakeholders can act on.
Nice to have
- dbt / modern data stack experience.
- Causal inference beyond A/B (synthetic control, regression discontinuity).
- Python (pandas, statsmodels) for analyses outside the analytics tool.
Compensation
Competitive global rate, scaled to experience and engagement.
