About the role
This is Hashorn's first dedicated commercial hire in Lucknow. You'll work on-site with the founding team to build pipeline, tell our story, and turn interest into signed engagements. We build and ship software products and services for clients worldwide; your job is to make sure the right people know about it, and you'll own outreach, marketing experiments, and the customer conversation end-to-end, with the founders a desk away.
What you'll do
- Generate and qualify leads for Hashorn's software products and services through outbound outreach, inbound follow-up, and local networking.
- Run day-to-day marketing: social posts, email campaigns, landing-page copy, and case-study promotion, in Hashorn's voice.
- Own the first customer conversation: discovery calls, demo coordination, proposals, and follow-through to a signed engagement.
- Keep the funnel honest: maintain the CRM, report what's working, and kill what isn't.
- Represent Hashorn at local events, meetups, and partner conversations in and around Lucknow.
- Work directly with the founders to shape pricing, positioning, and the go-to-market story.
What you bring
- 1-2 years in sales and marketing for software products and/or services (B2B / SaaS / IT services).
- Clear written and spoken English; you can write outreach people actually reply to.
- A self-starter who can run campaigns and outreach with minimal hand-holding.
- Comfort with CRM and marketing tools (HubSpot, Notion, LinkedIn, email tooling, and the like).
- Based in or willing to relocate to Lucknow, happy to work on-site; this is not a remote role.
- Genuine interest in technology and the patience to learn what we actually build.
Nice to have
- Experience selling or marketing IT services or custom software to international (US / UK / EU) clients.
- A track record of self-driven content: your own LinkedIn presence, a newsletter, or a community.
- Familiarity with funnel metrics, UTM tracking, and simple A/B tests.
Compensation
Competitive, based on experience.
